I'd also like to showcase another album that you might find relevant to your interests. One of my longtime favorites in the art of ambient down-tempo and soundscape, Arms and Sleepers. You might find this particular album much more docile (reminiscent
of Stars of the Lid) than their other more recognized work.

FF: Shigeto

The bassey, ambient, trip-hop, that is Shigeto, was first introduced to me via his remix of Tycho's 'Adrift'. I used to play this at work all the time in fact, for I'm a huge fan of Tycho (similar to Boards of Canada if you're unfamiliar). Then I was reintroduced to Shigeto via my friend Kasha T (thanks brolady). His hypnotic reworks of samples and textured beats is simply astonishing. Very reminiscent of a Vancouver winter for me. Zach Shigeto Saginaw drew his middle name as his playing card for the vividly beautiful project he undertook. It was the name of his grandfather, and an homage to the other half of his heritage. Being raised in Michigan, where his youthful influences were of the land he grew up on, he expanded to adopt a little more of the life he knew less of. He began to delve into ghostly ancient accents within his music, but still keeping that Mo-town rhythm. You might find this similar to Flying Lotus, Nujabes, or Mount Kimbie.

addictions

To the Daily What, and their video musical postings, today I've come to love:

Nat King Cole's 'Nature Boy' along with a live adaptation of RJD2's track 'A Beautiful Mine' (aka the Madmen theme).

Pogo strikes again.

And then in other news and entertainment from the same site:

Pudge (via Looking for Alaska) would be proud.***
