FF: Teen Daze

I love local talent!!! I've most recently stumbled upon the joys of Teen Daze. This great little chill-wave styled act originating from the greater Vancouver area (Abbotsford to be precise). First making blogwaves thanks to his remixes of Twin Sister & Washed Out, and then originals sticking with the beachy relaxing electronic vibes make a splash all his own. Most similar to the sounds of Millonyoun, Memoryhouse, & Washed Out.

FF: Cloud Nothings

Cloud Nothings... kind of like a cross between The Hives, The Strokes, Wavves, and Beach Fossils. So you'll expect some upbeat lo-fidelity alt rock with these bros. These young newcomers call Cleaveland, Ohio their home and with the Memoryhouse remix of 'Hey Cool Kids' getting so much blog love lately they're bound to pick up some swift buzz in the coming year. I highly recommend their first album 'Turning On', it will put you in that summer vibe. Cut off jeans, keds, shades & tanks and cheap wine on the dockside please and thank you.

FF: Clock Opera

Outta London Town Clock Opera has been on the radar of such blogs as Neon Gold Records, Discodust, Gorilla vs. Bear and so forth, and I guess I first came to know them with their remix of The Phenominal Handclap band's 'Baby'. What better time than now to post these rising electropop artists right? Their use of quick samples, repetitive loops, and deep vocals really appeals to me. uhhhhh okay.. it's really early (well not really it's like 9:45, but I'm rarely functional at this hour haha) annnnyyywho love Clock Opera, I choose you for my friday favorite! hazaaa!!
